He currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Maryland Army National Guard and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for combat service in Iraq. Additionally, he serves as theCommunity Liaison for Delegate Wanika Fisher, 47B, Assistant Majority Leader. Now Marlin is ready to serve as the next State Delegate for District 47B.

“I have been fighting on the frontlines, and I will continue to be that fighter and advocate in Annapolis for all community members of District 47B. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted many inequities in our community. As  a soldier, I was the Deputy for the Maryland Vaccine Equity Task Force, which conducted over 800 vaccinations events and administered over 150,000 vaccinations across Maryland. In Prince George’s County and in zip code 20783, I coordinated 237 vaccination events, 68,728 vaccinations, and secured guaranteed funding for Casa De Maryland to expand COVID-19 vaccinations efforts. As the District 47B Community Liaison, I worked on the new law which allows for an attorney for people facing evictions and helped to secure  millions in COVID relief funding  for working families. In Annapolis, I am prepared to continue the legacy of collaborative leadership with elected leaders on every level of government to ensure equitable gains can be achieved for District 47B community members.”

He is running to ensure every community member in District 47B interests are represented. Marlin’s campaign will be focused on spending time directly engaging with his community. Marlin looks forward to meeting you on the frontlines of District 47B.
